- Drifter arrived with Alloyed Collective, so the character is selectable whenever that expansion is enabled in character select.
Origin and patch attribution are taken from the store listings and the developer's own announcement for patch 1.21.
What official material confirms
The points below come from the developer's own writing about this survivor — expansion announcements, patch notes and store listings — rather than from community compilation. Where community data is missing entirely, this is what the page can stand on instead.
- The character is built around moving things that are not supposed to move. The store description frames Drifter as able to pick up other survivors and throw them off a cliff, throw a monster off a cliff, and throw a chest at a boss.
- Landing Blunt Force on an enemy makes it spill Junk. That resource is spent one of two ways: immediately for a burst of damage, or saved up to create an assortment of Temporary Items.
- The description also mentions a cube that can be batted around once it has been built, which suggests at least one Junk payout is a physical object in the world rather than an inventory entry.
- Patch 1.21 names a passive called Repossess and records a fix for a case where Drifter could Repossess herself, plus a fix for players sometimes not returning after being thrown off Computational Exchange.
- The same patch names a minor pickup called Drifter's Junk, listed alongside Elusive Antlers and healing orbs as the kind of small pickup that can block map pings when several pile up.
- No community skill list has been published for this character yet, so this page carries no loadout table rather than a table filled in from memory.
- Drifter shipped with Alloyed Collective on 2025-11-18, the expansion that also added Operator and took the roster to twenty playable characters.
- That expansion is set deeper into Solus territory, running from crumbling cliffs through scorched deserts to buried machine caverns, and ends at a boss the store description calls the Alloyed Collective's ultimate creation.
- Temporary Items are a game-wide system rather than something unique to Drifter: patch 1.21 records a fix for Engineer's turrets not receiving them, which is the same category of object Drifter builds out of saved Junk.
- Drifter is one of only four survivors without a Hallowed Concepts skin, alongside Operator, Acolyte and Enforcer, and the patch notes record a fix for the passive failing when Alloyed Collective is disabled in character select.
- Playing the character requires owning that expansion. Only one player in a lobby needs to own Alloyed Collective for its monsters, stages and items to appear for everyone, but the two survivors stay selectable only for owners.
